Waterfront
dining is always popular in a beach town like Destin. Hopefully
this post will help you make some excellent waterfront dining
choices. The Marina Café is located high above Destin Harbor
and it's tiered seating provides harbor views from nearly every
table. This is an elegant, professionally staffed restaurant
with a superb menu of entrees, wines, desserts, small plates
& pizza. Moving on down the beach to Scenic Hwy 30A is the Vue
restaurant which is part of the Santa Rosa Beach Golf & Beach
Club. Situated high on the dunes, this is also an elegant dining
spot with excellent views of the Gulf of Mexico. Further down
is Bud & Alley's rooftop bar providing casual dining with spectacular
views of the beach & gulf. If you want to get out of town for
some great local seafood in a very casual atmosphere try Nick's
Seafood Restaurant on Hwy 20 on the north shore of Choctawhatchee
Bay. If you have access to a boat this is right across the bay
from Sandestin.
